Privacy Policy

Plain-language summary of how Nupick handles your data. Last updated June 2026.

The short version: Nupick is local-first. Your documents, memory, and knowledge base live on your device by default. Information only reaches a cloud model when you use a cloud feature — and even then, it's sanitized and redacted first.

What stays on your device

  • Your indexed documents, files, and folders
  • Your memory, notes, and conversation history
  • Local model inference and retrieval
  • Secrets such as API keys and passwords

What may reach the cloud

When you choose a cloud model or connector, Nupick sends only the context needed for that task. Before it crosses the privacy boundary, identifying details like names, emails, and figures are redacted, and raw files are removed. Every crossing is recorded in your local Privacy Audit.

What we collect

For the website and waitlist, we collect the email address you provide and basic, privacy-respecting analytics. We do not train models on your content, and we don't sell your data.

Your controls

  • Stay fully local at any time
  • Toggle any connector or cloud feature on or off
  • Inspect every cloud crossing in the Privacy Audit
  • Export or delete your workspace and memory whenever you want

Third parties

Cloud reasoning may use third-party model providers you choose. Their handling of the sanitized context they receive is governed by their own terms. You decide which providers, if any, to enable.
